Every year nearly 1 in 8 people seek medical attention or suffer at least 1 day of activity restriction because of an injury.

Allstate Workplace Division offers Accident Insurance that can pay you a lump sum benefit for accidental injuries, plus some medical benefits. Accident Insurance is an excellent plan to use to bridge the gap between the deductible and co-insurance levels of your medical plan. If you or a family member is injured, and your deductible and co-insurance levels have not been met on your health care plan, the financial responsibility would fall completely on you.

Accident Insurance is designed to fill that gap in coverage and provide benefits directly to you to help offset the costs incurred by accidental injuries. The easy to apply for coverage is available to individuals and families. A valuable feature that is also included in Allstate Workplace Division’s Accident Insurance is an Accidental Disability Benefit. This pays a short term disability benefit to the primary insured for a period of six months should you become disabled due to an accidental injury. One additional rider that may be added to the policy is a Sickness Disability Benefit. This would also pay the primary insured for a 6 month period if you would become disabled because of sickness.
