No one likes to think about the possibility of getting cancer. However, in the US, men have slightly less than a 1 in 2 lifetime risk of developing cancer. For women the risk is a little more than 1 in 3. Cancer may not be preventable, but you can protect yourself from some of the costs associated with cancer.

Allstate Workplace Division offers Cancer Insurance that also covers 20 other specified diseases. The easy to apply for coverage provides benefits directly to you, and benefits are paid regardless of any other coverage you may have in place.

The plan is available to individuals, as well as families and it is guaranteed renewable for life, subject to change in premiums by class. One unique feature to this cancer insurance is the way benefits are paid for Radiation Therapy, Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, as well as Blood Plasma and Platelet Transfusions. Instead of paying on a per treatment basis, the plan provides a pool of dollars that are available. This pays you more dollars of benefit, and pays it to you more quickly.

There is 1 rider that is available to the cancer insurance. This rider makes the plan a combined cancer and Hospital Intensive Care policy. The rider provides $600 per day for up to 45 days for any required confinement in an intensive care unit; this is paid regardless of the cause for the confinement, and is not restricted to only cancer.
