About 700,000 Americans will have a stroke this year; 33% of all families deplete most or all of their savings because of a critical illness; two thirds of heart attack victims do not make a complete recovery.

Allstate Workplace Division offers Critical Illness Insurance that pays a lump sum benefit upon the diagnosis of a covered serious illness. Some examples of a serious illness are Heart Attack, Stroke, Cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, Major Organ Transplant and Multiple Sclerosis. The easy application process provides benefit amounts from $5,000 to $50,000. The benefits are paid directly to you, and are paid regardless of any other coverage you may have in place.

The coverage is guaranteed renewable for life subject to changes in premiums by class, and there is no reduction of benefits because of age. Coverage is available to individuals, single parent families or traditional families. The premium is based on age at the time of issue, tobacco usage and the basic benefit amount that is selected.
