Supplemental Health Options Policy (SHOP)

The average length of stay in a U.S. hospital is 4.9 days. Even just a couple of days in the hospital could be very costly, and if you add the cost of medicines and therapies, the expenses can very quickly add up.

Allstate Workplace Division offers Supplemental Health Options Policy (SHOP) insurance that can help to protect your savings, and it can help to cover some of the costs associated with hospital care. The easy to apply for coverage is available to an individual or an entire family. The benefits are paid directly to you and are paid regardless of other coverage that may be in place. The premium is based on the age at issue and the coverage is guaranteed renewable to age 65.

As the name SHOP implies, you choose to add your own benefits to custom design your own plan. Some of the benefits available are Daily Hospital Confinement, Intensive Care Confinement, Initial Hospitalization Benefit, Surgery/Anesthesia Benefit and more.
